Each book in this series adds layers to the story of Vincent and Jane. Their love, their glamour, and their family entanglements take center stage here.
4.5JJM writes with so much feeling. One painting with a story that stretches decades. I was as invested in the present-day story as I was in the WW1-era tale. Sadness mixed with hope and surprises.
3.5 but I'm rounding up. This wasn't my favorite CM book, but it was still a good one. I liked the plot and the heroine. The first third went fast but then the novel slowed down too much. Oliver didn't grab me much, either.
Wow, wow, wow. I think I'm in love with Rainbow Rowell and I KNOW I'm in love with Levi. This book is special.
Very different in a good way. Glad I listened to this (outstanding cast) rather than read it because I think this benefited greatly from the delivery method.
Just wonderful. There's a formula that Susanna Kearsley uses for each book and it's one that I love. There's so much here to love: the connections to Winter Sea (my absolute favorite of hers), Rob, Edmund, Anna, the history, family. Must buy this one since I borrowed it from the library.
